Keeping up with the Joneses is a very real and scary way that some people choose to live their lives. Purchasing things to make them look rich from houses, clothing, furniture and even cars are some of the easiest ways to show case you financial situation. Why do people do it? Well because society has inflicted, upon many, this belief that if you aren’t successful you are nothing in the world. Guess what society “Fuck Off.”
That’s right, I said it. I am sick and tired of what “others” think. When did we start living our lives to please other people and not ourselves? What the hell is wrong with us? Why do we care so much of what others think about our lifestyle choices? We shouldn’t and guess what I don’t give two shits what you think about my house, clothes, job, shoes and especially about my car.
I have been a car guy for a long time and appreciate many cars out there. From high end to daily drivers it doesn’t matter what you drive it just matters if you love it. I can appreciate all sorts of vehicles out there, hence when I go to car shows it’s always a great time. Every now and then though, you get a car that just looks absolutely ridiculous. I will voice my opinion on it and even poke fun, but still, I can understand the passion that this person has for their car because I too share the same passion. Just because you might not like the style of their choices doesn’t mean that their car is shit. Styling a car is a way that someone can express themselves, and like I said we might not like it, or understand the decision but we can appreciate the love that they have for their ride. Well at least we should.
The question is still out though, Why did I buy a tC? Well the reason is simple, I wanted too.
There are many decisions to make when purchasing a car, believe me. It took me 2 ½ years to buy this one. Yes that’s right I had wanted this car for over 2 ½ years. Like a good boy though I needed to make sure this was the car for me. It just so happened that years later this specific car came onto the market and I had to quickly make my decision now more than ever. With only 275 of these specific cars in Canada I had to act fast or I would have risk losing out on what I thought was the perfect car for me right here and right now. Not only was it a decision 2½ years in the making it was also 2 ½ years of research too. Yes, I researched and researched and just when I thought I was done I researched some more.
I didn’t just wake up in the morning and decide I was going to buy a car. I did all my due diligence and made what I think was the right choice. Plus I don’t care what others think. If you don’t like it well TOO BAD.
My car, my life, my choice.
So what are the top reasons I bought the car? Stay tuned to find out. For now though shut down your computer and start your car. Go for a drive and enjoy the weather. Where I live I can feel winter coming so I am going to enjoy the nice weather while I can.
Drive safe my friend!
